Milestones
- T had his 6th b-day 2 Sundays ago. We took him to the K’zoo Valley Museum after having lunch with Uncle N8 and S at IHOP. There wa sa bit of a wait before we got a table but T wanted to eat there so we did.
- 6th year check-up yesterday and the doctor deemed him to be a healthy boy ‘cept for a bit of a cough. No shots given which made T happy.
- Parent-Teacher meeting yesterday as well (yes, t’was a busy day) and I was told he is doing really well in school. Starting next week he will be partnered up with another reading buddy for extra reading hours. He was assessed to be at 3rd grade reading level so they are going to have him read more challenging books.
- I got a part-time job at the library! Persistence paid off. I talked to the HR Manager yesterday to inquire about my training scheduled for the next 2 weeks and he said they really liked me. Aaaawwww shucks!!! 
The only drawback, my present employer scheduled me for 34 hrs next week in addition to the 20 hrs I am working at the library. I’m hoping to give away some of my hours so I can see my family sometime. And I might eventually have to give up this present job entirely.
- It was a couple weeks back but we tiled the foyer and will recycle the wood floors and use them to patch the water damaged spots in the living room.
- Taxes done, we’re getting some money back.
- T’s 2 lower front teeth are loose. He complained of them being painful when he took his first bite of bagel this morning. I thought he was just acting but when I inspected it, sure enough they were loose. His reaction was, “Do we now tie them to the door knob?” LOL!!!
