Catching Up with Technology

Friday, August 24th, 2007 at 6:38 pm

We’ve held off buying any of those electronic gaming gizmos (Playstation, X Box etc.) although I drool over the Wii everytime I pass by one at the stores. My brother had offered to get T something handheld for Christmas but hubby and I both declined graciously.

Right at this moment though, father and son are playing a racing game on an Atari 2600 system. And having a blast from the sounds of it. LOL! It’s akin to sending smoke signals while your neighbor is using e-mail, eh?

BTW, after watching daddy try to connect the cables to make the system work with the TV in the living room — with no success — T carried the whole thing upstairs and made it work using an older TV. After hearing strange noises, I checked on him and saw him playing with it. He assured me he was ever so careful not to get “shocked” (read: electrocuted).
