Day-off
I have the day-off today and coincidentally, so does T. So we’re going to hang out together and do whatever we feel like.
Oh, it was so nice to sleep in on a weekday! Usually we’re up at 7am or earlier to get ready for school. I finally got woken up at 9am by T who was demanding to be fed because he was sooooo hungry. Did that, took the dog out for his morning rituals, had coffee and now just trying to catch up on some things I need to write down.
Last Monday (Oct. 15) was the 1st quarter Parent-Teacher conference at school. Things are going well. T has already exceeded their benchmarks. He’s reading on a 3rd grade level so he’ll be assigned extra reading time/materials accordingly. No behavioral problems. He still needs to be re-trained (for lack of a better word) on how to hold his pencil when he writes. We’ve tried the conventional way but it didn’t work because he couldn’t muster enough pressure to write down legibly. His teacher has given him a grip (yet again) and she was supposed to talk to an occupational therapist. Mental note: follow up with teacher.
