Hard Day’s Work
After spending most of the weekend glued to the TV following the Gulf Coast tragedy, we roused ourselves to do something else.
Hubby wanted to get going on a kitchen renovation job but his co-workers decided not to work Sunday. He didn’t want to go there alone so we T and I went along to keep him company. Ayayay! I got suckered into helping out and now my arm and leg muscles are aching. Never let it be said that I just dithered around. I stapled down flooring, helped hang drywall, brought in base cabinets and the countertop, and cleaned up before we left. At least when the homeowner comes back from vacation, she’ll see that work has been done while they were away.
It’s almost noon. No idea yet what we’re doing the rest of the day. We semi-planned to go to Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, about 45 minutes drive. We already filled up at the pump yesterday at $2.99 a gallon. That’s still a heck of a lot better than $3.39 a couple of days back. BIL came down from Kalamazoo last Friday and he said there were some gas stations on I-94 that had unleaded for $3.89. Gasp!!!
