Family Post 2

Last week I took photos of MIL and co. for her campaign flyer. After about a dozen tries, we finally decided to call it quits and just work with what we had. T was getting crabby, Em’s smiles were looking more and more pained, MIL’s patience was wearing thin from controlling the kids and the dog. She should have listened to whoever said “never work with kids and animals.” :D

We did end up going to Potter Park Zoo and we picked a good day, too. Not too many people, it wasn’t too hot and the animals were fairly sociable. I’ll be uploading some photos later. They had a building that housed glass enclosed viewing rooms where some of the more interesting animals could roam inside. The snow leopard preferred to be indoors and was napping atop a boulder. There was a Siberian tiger that would take swipes at the onlookers. At one point it actually reared up on its hind legs. That was quite an amazing sight and somewhat scary, too, when you think that only a thin wall of glass separated us from it.

Afterwards we drove over to the Filipino store but they were closed. There goes my plan to cook dinuguan this week. We went to the mall instead to eat a late lunch and shop a little. As our practice, hubby went to B&N and I took the kids to Old Navy. Each of us got something and with my $10 coupon, I ended up spending less than $20. :D
